According to Commerce Bank, there are no ATM fees or surcharge when using the card in Italy. Does that mean that they don't charge the 1% (or more) exchange conversion fee? I'm just trying to figure out the best ATM and credit card to take to Italy. I just ordered a Capitol One credit card because they do not charge an exchange fee for purchases. Any info will be appreciated.
Hi Robert,
That is correct. We used our commerce Bank account in Italy and they don't charge a conversion fee and they also don't charge a fee for using a foreign bank. Just remember to let them know your dates of travel.

That's fantastic news. Thanks Lucy!
Let me just throw in a "me too".
Used my Commerce card on three separate trips to London, Paris, and throughout Germany/Austria/and Switzerland without a problem or fee.
Worked out quite nicely.
