One of my booking.com hosts mentioned we might use AppTaxi in Florence (just like using Uber.) Has anyone used it in Florence? It doesn't look like it's being used in Naples yet; anyone know?

We used it in Rome last month. We were staying in Trastevere and used it to take us over to the other side of the river since my husband was in a walking boot. It was pretty much just like Uber. A driver accepts your request and you can track them coming to you. Also gave you an estimate of the charge. We didn't use it to pay. We were in Naples also but only needed a taxi once and just went to the taxi stand near our apartment so I'm not sure if it's there or not.

The app looks easy enough to use at least. I downloaded it for our upcoming trip, so if you do use AppTaxi prior to end of August, I would like to hear about your experience. Thanks.

I have used itTaxi app in Rome with the last few trips. Always had a taxi within 5 mins of request.
