Anyone Tried Trattoria Za Za in Florence (or can recommend something)?

I am looking for a restaurant that is close to my accommodations the first night I arrive in Florence. I am staying on Via Sant'Antonino and found Trattoria Za Za, which is about a 3 minute walk from my apartment. Reviews are good on TripAdvisor, but thought I would reach out to some of the travelers on the forum for input.

Thanks in advance!

We liked it! Went there upon arrival a couple of years ago and had a great lunch. Very busy place, though. sp we made a reservation.

I ate there a couple of years ago on my last trip to Florence. Crowded yes but that's a good thing isn't it? I had late lunch/early dinner and have no complaints. It stays on my "list" for next time. Another place, close by, is Eataly at the Mercato Centrale. Shopping downstairs, eating upstairs. They are all over the place now and maybe a bit commercial but my friends and I had good food and an enjoyable afternoon shopping.

I've eaten there several times. I love it as well as one a few doors down, Trattoria Garibaldi. Garibaldi has delicious Ribollita which is Tuscan bean and bread soup. Delicious.

I've also eaten at Da Pinocchio which is on the same piazza but don't really remember how good it was. That one was the last night of our first trip to Italy and the waiter was so nice...but I apparently had a bit too much celebratory wine so remember nothing about the actual food except they had lovely appetizer platters which we got for the 5 of us.

My wife and daughter had a lobster and pasta dish there last March that was amazing. Very nice place. Make sure to get a reservation for dinner because it was very busy the two times we have eaten there.

Thanks, Robert. I am leaning toward ZaZa and will make a reservation. It is a 3-minute walk from the apartment I am renting!

Last time in florence we tried to eat here, but we did not have reservations and was a long wait. This was in mid-October which is still very busy season in Florence.

I’ve been to Za Za four times. Great place. Good food, quirky decor & reasonable prices. I’ve been on the total opposite side of Florence and trekked all the way over there for a meal.

One of my favorite dishes anywhere is the Walnut Cream Ravioli at Za Za. I've eaten there 4 or 5 times.
