I am thinking of booking a double room for 3 nights in this former convent for my husband and I - Istituto Artigianelli($136 Euro a night incl breakfast), near the Accademia, and wondering if any of you have stayed there? Is the location central enough or would it be better to book near Rialto bridge or St Mark's square?

We haven't stayed at this particular property, but we rented and apartment directly behind it last September. We enjoyed the area. DOsoduro has a more neighborhood like feel. You'll be close to the Zattere vaporetto stop if you want to ride instead of walk.
