Anyone Know of a Nice Farmhouse with Cooking Class near Lucca?

Hey All,

Putting together my itinerary for my Italian extravaganza in September and am looking for a place to spend a day or two near Lucca that offers a nice farmhouse setting that might also offer a cooking class. If not a class, a nice farmfresh dinner. Willing to drive to other nearby villages as I'll have a car. TIA!!

When I was going to Lucca in 2018, I researched and found Chef Paolo has classes outside Lucca. But since I was just traveling by train, I wanted to be in town. I participated in the Extra Virgin Cooking class in the medieval center of Lucca, and I definitely recommend it in case you find a farmhouse dinner but not a cooking class.

Good morning Steppesister- Lucca is well known for its olive oil production, as well as extensive vineyards surrounding the area. I don’t know of any cooking class outside the walls, but have you tried emailing the TI (touristinformation) offices there? They have been of great help for the times we have been there, and by the way, have a great walking tour (English) of the town for 10 Euro. I would definitely check with them, as they are run by the town and seem to be unbiased. Good luck and buon appetito!
