Cecily, I don't know of a hotel close to the airport but we parked our RV in a lovely campground along side the runway. It had little cabins to rent and there was a continual bus that stopped.

I just did this on the 23rd of April. We had an early Flight out of Marco Polo so we decided to stay in Mestre' We stayed at the Al Vivit in Mestre' and it was one of the best hotels and locations we stayed at during our month vacation throughtout Italy. We paid 109.00 euro per night and the taxi picked us up at 5:00am and it was a 30.00 euro taxi ride to the airport which took us 10 minutes. Perfect location when in the Venice area.
