Hi. My husband and I will be in Rome Sept. 23-27, and we're interested in taking a Miles & Miles 5-hour Rome city tour. Check out the Web site at http://www.toursofrome.com. The company has great reviews on this site, Trip Advisor and other sites.
Is anyone going to be in Rome those days and interested in sharing the cost of this tour? It's 60 euro per vehicle, and vehicles can hold seven people plus a driver. The tours are tailored to guests' interests. My husband and I are flexible. This will be our first trip to Rome.

Did you say 60 euros for a 5 hour tour,that is a great price,,but you mean per person right,, or do you mean 600 euros per vehicle?

Oops. What I meant to say is the tours cost 60 euros per hour, and there's a five-hour minimum. So, the cost of a five-hour tour is 300 euros, or about $434 at the current exchange rate. From what I can tell from the Web site and the reviews, these tours are worth every euro cent. Unfortunately, it's beyond my vacation budget.
My husband and I are looking for another couple, four-some or even five-some to share in the cost. Francesco, one of the guides, suggested I do that, as the company doesn't match groups up.

Nm,, that is still a great price for a private tour if you can find one other couple to split with,, only 75 euros a head for a 5 hour tour!
If no one responds here I would go to the forums on tripadvisor.com,, their Italy forums are super busy so you will likely have a better chance of finding someone there as same time as you.

Yes, Francesco Miglio is the Miles & Miles tour guide who gave me all of the information and suggested I use the travel forums to find another party who might be willing to share the cost of a tour.

My husband and I will be in Rome for the first time from September 25 to the 28th. We would definitely consider a tour with you on the 26th. It would be preferable to get one other couple to join us, which would be fun and less expensive. Let me know how we can talk about this further.
