Anyone interested in forming an 8 member Tuscan wine tour?

Hi,

My partner and I will be basing ourselves in Florence 7-10th April 2020.

Interested in doing a 'real' full day wine tour of about 2 or 3 wineries around Chianti region with a lunch included. Just looking at a few right now and I get the feel many offer group discounts of around 8 or so (a good number). Doing it alone seems rather expensive. Does anyone want to join resources to see if can muster up a group discount of about 8 or so?
I'm not touching anyone else's money, nor will anyone be touching mine! Just after serious contenders putting their hands up to join the line. Dodgy respondents, yobbo's or charlatans need not apply!

Cheers

I’m heading on to Rome on the 6th, so couldn’t do it, but I think pulling together a group is a great idea. I hope it works out for you.

I hope you can come up with a group. Short of that, there are numerous tours available for a reasonable amount of money.

My wife and I spent 10 days in Tuscany December 2015. We also spent a week in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys a few years ago. We all have our own wine tasting method. Deb and I restrict ourselves to two tastings a day. I'm too Scottish to pay for a tasting only to "swirl and spit". We also prefer wines, mostly reds, which aren't "sipping" wines. They need to be paired with the appropriate food dish to get a true appreciation.

If you can swing it, I suggest you visit Castillo di Verrazzano. We used it as our home base the entire time we were in Tuscany. Take their combination tour and food and wine experience. It was a truly amazing lunch, with local food, their own amazing balsamic vinegar and honey and of course the wines they produce, including their Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Reserva and Super Tuscan. In addition, we finished off with a heavenly Vin Santo with biscotti for dessert. If you go, block out at least 3 hours for the experience.
