Would love an update on heat wave and fires in Italy. Heading there in a week (hopefully) and wondered how it might be affecting travel. Thanks for your help!

Are u going to Sicily? If not you can forget about fires.
Can't speak for the all country but here in the River Po valley we have bee enjoying 84° F for a week.

New reports of fire outbreaks in Calabria, not far from the city of Reggio Calabria. Two farmers died while they were trying to save their Olive Trees.

I can't speak for the fires but it's pretty hot in Ischia right now. Not unbearable but not ideal for just wandering aimlessly either.
