Anyone here travel to Italy in summer with a TODDLER?

We are travelling to Italy for 20 days in the July heat! Here is our itinerary:

Milan 2 nights
Bolzano 5 nights
Milan or Verona 1 night
CT 5 nights (near beach in Monterosso air bnb)
Lucca 5 nights (air bnb has a pool)
Florence 2 nights

I tried to minimize the moving around and really stay put and explore one area. We plan to take trains everywhere and want to avoid renting a car. For equipment we will bring a small stroller (Maclaren), a hiking carrier for CT, a lightweight Cosco car seat. Baby just turned 1, she'll be 1.5 at time of travel. She is pretty easy going so far and does well with schedule changes.

Any tips advice or suggestions?

Ty!

I hear tell that Bolzano gets awfully hot in the summer - you might want to stay at a higher elevation nearby, to experience the cool (Ortisei, for instance, accessible by bus) instead.

Here are some caveats from my point of view. CT in July will be beastly crowded. Additionally, the beaches are mostly rock. (I’ve read that Monterosso has a sand beach, but you can count on it being wall-to-wall, or more accurately, body-to-body with people. In any case, 5 nights is a lot of time there. Instead of a 1 nighter in Milan, How about 2 in Verona or thereabouts?
5 nights for Lucca also seems like too much, especially since you won’t have a car for exploring nearby towns.
