Anyone going to be in Italy May 6-16?

What a nice idea! I WISH I were going to be in Italy this May!! Have a gelato (or 2) for me.

Agreed- what a nice idea. I'll be just missing you. My dates are 4/16 through May 3. Part RS Heart of Italy tour and some exploring on my own. Have a fanstatic time... Look forward to a trip report upon your return Stephanie.

Stephanie, you are not going to believe this, but you have almost the EXACT same travel plans that we have! We land in Rome 5-7, leave 5-11 for Greve in Chianti/Florence, go to Umbria/Gubbio for a huge ancient festival May 13-15, and then head to Venice May 16th. However, we are traveling with two teenage daughters! Getting excited!

Sheron I will have a gelato for you. Linda I plan on posting some version of a trip report when I return although there really isn't a place for it on this site. Mark & Kristy have a great trip with your teens.

Missed it by that much. We get into Venice on 5/17 for a backwards version of your trip - Venice, then Florence, then Rome.

We don't even get there until the 21st of May...have an awesome trip!! And a gelato for us!

I'll be based in Florence for all of May/June and will be in town on the 11-14th. I'll be traveling by myself during that time, so would love to meet up. I have a language/culture class from 9-1PM those three days, but I'm sure we can find another time that works for all of us. Let me know!

My Gf and I will be landing 5/9 in Rome staying till 5/12 then hitting Sorrento for 3 days then back up to Florence, Cinque Terre and Como before leaving on 5/24. We love meeting folks so count us in. Also, I know a few peeps from Trussville, maybe you know them too.

Oh darn it, we won't be in Florence until the 15th. I would have invited you to join us for dinner at Il Latini. It's so much fun. Be sure to go there. It's worth the wait and the price. Have a great time!
