Has anyone had any experience with the tour company "Tours of Pompeii"? It seems to have great reviews under Trip Advisor & also a UK website, but I haven't been able to find any more info on them. The person I've been in contact with (Julie) seems very helpful & the reviews of the guide Lello are also good, but since I know to take TripAdvisor reviews with a grain of salt, I just want to make sure this is a legit outfit & a good experience. Anne. Sorry, havent heard of that company. However, took a tour of Pompeii with a private guide and LOVED IT! I didnt think I would but I was really surprised at how interesting Pompeii was. Have fun!

My parents and I are booked for a half day tour with Lello on Friday, July 5 (we also had researched on TA) - l'll let you know how it goes! :-) We have had to book a lot of things on our trip based on the reviews/opinions of others. I teach high school statistics, so I am figuring that if a tour/hotel/restaurant has a distribution of mostly positive reviews, we are more likely to have a good experience than a bad one, but there is no guarantee. We have stacked our trip with options that have good reviews, expecting that a couple of them will be terrible, most of them will be good, and a couple of them will be awesome. Of course, now part of the fun for me is seeing if a statistical model is a valid way to plan a vacation. :-)

Thanks for the feedback! My daughter & I are booked for June 26th, so will definitely let you know are tour when we return to the US (July 2). We're looking forward to our trip & this tour sounded great. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
