I found a flight on Blue Panorama from Nice to Rome. The price is good and it gets me to Rome in about 1 hour so I still have time to take my train to Chiusi and pick up my car. Has anyone ever used Blue P? Thanks, just wondering.
Hi Debbie We flew Blue Panorama from Catania, Sicily to Rome last May. No problems other than they lost one of the checked bags for 24 hours. We were able to check one bag each for free and had a carry on. I would travel with them again as the cost for the flight was cheap.
Thanks David, that's very helpful. It's good to hear from someone who actually used them:)
I flew the same route October of 2011. The problem is that they have a very limited number of planes so if there is a problem earlier in the day, it may affect your flight. There was a problem the day I took the flight and it left Nice 3 hours late. I might still have made my connecting flight, but it took a whopping 90 minutes to get my suitcase. I don't know why (that's longer than the flight between the two cities!). I missed my flight. Probably they had to wait for ground personnel to unload as they were so late in arriving. I took them back to Nice from Rome two weeks later and had absolutely no problems. They do have limited staff. I would be careful to be within the luggage size and weight limits. My advice would be to make sure you have hours of time between your landing time and the train departure time. I'm assuming you are going to take the Leonardo express to Termini station and catch your train to Chiusi from there. Leave plenty of time to do that transfer also as it is a good 12 or 15 minute walk between the airport express and the rest of the platforms at Termini.
