any thoughts on this destination? Seems to look good on paper, but was hoping someone might have spent some time there?

It's on the Cilento coast; I've driven through but never stopped there but would have no hesitation if you find a hotel that you like.

There are prettier towns nearby, but if you have a reason, why not? What are your plans for the area and your transport?
I went as a day trip to see the Roman ruins.

My wife would like to go there when we are in Italy in a few weeks but don’t plan to stay at Marina di Ascea.
The towns to visit are Castellabbate, Pisciotta, Acciaroli. But the best beaches are probably in Palinuro and Marina di Camerota, so I might try to stay there.

We stayed on the Cilento Coast 2 years ago in the town of Santa Maria di Castellebate. It was very beautiful and relaxing.
