Anybody know if there are taxis in Bagnoregio?

We want to spend the night there but we need to catch the 0805 train to Rome in Orvieto.
I am leery of relying on the bus although theoretically the 0630 would get us to Orvieto by 0730.
If there is not a taxi in Bagnoregio does anyone know where the bus drops one in Orvieto?
I would assume it would do so near the train station but I hate to assume.

Thanks!

There is a bus from Orvieto to Civita, dropping you off at the bottom of the hill. You must walk up. Same as for leaving. Too small a town for a taxi, at least when I was as there a few years ago. Can't remember where it drops you off, but between the train, bus , and funicular, it is all walking distance.

The blue Cotral buses to Bagnoregio (45 minutes) start and end at Orvieto's Piazza Cahen, at the top of the funicular, but also stop at Orvieto train station. You can also take a Cotral bus from Bagnoregio to Viterbo (35 minutes) and catch the Rome train there. In Rick's Italy book, see pages 824-6 or see http://www.cotralspa.it/PDF_Orari_Comune/Bagnoregio.pdf; buses do not run Sundays and holidays

You might be able to inquire about a taxi driver in Orvieto to come out to Bagnoregio to pick you up and drop off in Orvieto. You'll pay for the drivers return trip, so you'll either pay for the taxi to drive from Orvieto to Bagnoregio to pick you up, or you'd pay for the driver to return to Bagnoregio after he drops you off. Rick's book has a taxi driver in Orvieto and if i remember the cost listed is $50.
