Any red flags for these 2 Rome hotel options? Either the hotel itself, or the neighborhood?

Good day,

In brief, my husband and I (early 50's) are heading back to Italy later this month. Currently we have 2 different hotels booked:

--Trianon Borgo Pio Aparthotel (located between Castel Sant'Angelo and the Vatican) https://www.trianonborgopio.com/en/location/
--Argentina Residenza Style Hotel (located in the Pantheon neighborhood on the Largo di Torre Argentina) https://www.argentinastylehotel.com/4-star-hotel-in-rome/

This trip we will NOT be seeing the main attractions, as we have already done that on a prior trip, so being close to those places is not a priority for us this time. The goal for this trip is rest and relaxation and enjoying the beauty of Rome. We will return to the Borghese and will also visit Castel Sant'Angelo. We've heard the Castel area is harder for transit--is this true? We are also open to uber-ing if needed too. And even though it seems like the Pantheon area hotel is well connected with transit, we are wondering if it will feel busier and louder than the Castel?

As usual, your opinions are very helpful, and mostly we just want to know if there are any red flags we should be paying attention to. We checked all the RS Italy hotels listed and they were all booked for our chosen dates.

Thank you!
Tracey

We prefer the Pantheon area
Easy to walk from there to almost anywhere in historic center

No actual Uber in Italy
You can grab a taxi at a taxi stand or have hotel call for one
Can’t flag them down

It does look like your first location is not as close to bus stops. You would have to walk a bit to get to a bus stop to places in central Rome. You can use the Uber app in Rome which we often did when we needed to get home and we didn't want to wait for a bus. It is not like Uber here in that you're going to usually get a regular taxi or possibly a car service vehicle.

Pantheon area is very busy. It's great and it's very central but it's full of people. Have you considered Prati? There is more transport available in that area but it is also quieter.

I booked friends into the Trianon Borgo Pio Aparthotel and they absolutely loved it— spacious rooms and comfortable. It’s in a residential area and a bit away from Rome’s center, but they liked the location near a piazza.

Hello,
Download the freenow app it works just like Uber in Italy but it connects you to official taxis
I prefer Pantheon area as well
Enjoy your trip

I am a bit biased because Trianon is a 5 minute walk from my apartment in Rome and I absolutely LOVE my neighborhood. It may not be as convenient for bus connections, but the Ottaviano metro station is only a 12 minute walk.
