any laundromats in venice??

planning to spend 4 or 5 days in venice then do a cruise. the ship will charge about $25 to wash and dry a bag full, ouch! since we want to stay in the center, where would we find a laundromat to wash and dry our clothes and about how much would it cost?? thanks

There is a "Speedy Wash and Planet Internet" in Canneregio not far from the train station. Google it for directions.

Walk down the Lista de Spagna from the train station and continue straight. It will be on your right.

It adds up. In Assisi last year, I paid 4E for each washload, and 1E for each seven minutes of drying. Venice will likely be more expensive.

Be sure to watch for a separate spinning maching to put your clothes in after they come out of the washer. Some laundromats have washers without a serious spin cycle. Put your clothes in the spinner before putting them in the dryer and they'll come out almost dry, reducing the time they need to be in the dryer. Caution: Those driers get SUPER hot.

I don't remember how much their bundle drop service was, in case you don't want to waste time doing it yourself.
