Hi all -
I patiently waited for the August calendar to open up on The Last Supper website... and was out of town and completely forgot to set an alarm to do my daily checks on the website... and now tickets are completely sold out for the Last Supper.
I thought I would bite the bullet and just buy a third party tour with it's overpriced tickets... but those are all sold out as well. Do any of you happen to know any super secret hail mary ways to get a very last minute ticket for the Last Supper? (We will be in Milan Aug. 6). Yes, I know this may be impossible. We saw it the last time we were there (about 8 years ago), so it's not a do or die for me... but my youngest kids were too young to remember it, and if something happens to turn up I would love for them to see if now that they are old enough to remember.
Thanks for any behind the scene ticket tips!
Jen
Hi Jen
This was me in April, tickets sold out for my dates in hours - however I had read on here that more tickets are released on Wednesdays for the next week at 11am Italian time. So for you that would be Wednesday 31st July.
If you haven’t already done so sign up for an account and have all your details ready for 11am, I logged on just before time and at exactly 11am tickets appeared for my date and I got 2. You then pick them up from the ticket office at the Last Supper before your time slot.
Enjoy Milan, we did!
You might try booking a third party tour. I did one called “Best of Milan and the Last Supper.” I can’t remember which tour company it was with, but it was one listed in the RS Italy guidebook. Good luck!
THANK YOU!! These are such great tips! I have my alarm set to call the office right when they release the tickets on July 31. This is such a great tip!
Someone reported here thay they went to the church early and were able to get tickets for that day. They may have been really, really lucky, or perhaps a few tickets are commonly held back for sale on site.
We emailed our hotel and they were able to get us tickets, when we were unable to do so.
Not sure if we were just lucky, or if they keep some back for hotels but it is certainly worth asking.
If the site for tickets has a "contact us" section I would write them and ask them about last minute tickets. I missed out on getting Anne Frank House tickets and wrote them. Because they have so many special groups they reserve tickets for, those get released at a specific time. It turned out there were a lot of tickets available and because they let me know when those tickets got released I was ready. I had never read anything about this so was very lucky I wrote them. I would also let them know how many in your party as I was only 1 person. Hope you might be as lucky.
Jen,
Some years back while picking up my Last Supper ticket, the couple in front of me asked the woman at the ticket office if there were any tickets available for that day. She checked her computer and found tickets for them for that very afternoon!
So… I’d suggest arriving to the ticket office a few minutes before opening time and see if there are available tickets :-)
