Any idea of the wait time in line with advanced purchased tickets for Uffizi?

Does anyone have any idea of approximately how long the wait in line would be with tickets purchased in advance for the Accademia and Uffizi? We recently purchased tickets online to the Accademia with an 8:15 entrance time slot. I have read that at this time, it can be less crowded than later in day and am not expecting a long wait in line. However...I need to purchase the Uffizi tickets for another day (also mid-June) and although I usually go for the early entrance times to museums whenever possible, because of other things on our schedule this time, an afternoon or even late afternoon visit to the Uffizi would be better. I have read that there can be a long line – even with purchased tickets- to get into the Uffizi and the wait could be well over an hour. Is this correct? If so, will probably try and move things around on schedule and go for an earlier to visit to the Uffizi even though I would prefer a later afternoon visit. Does anyone have an idea of line wait in mid-June to get into Uffizi for an afternoon visit? Hope the question makes sense! Thanks for any help with this.

We went late in May at 2pm and our wait was less than 10 min to enter.

We had tickets to the Uffizi last April with a 10:30am time slot. Then we waited ~20 minutes to get inside. It was already very crowded. Unless you’re able to go very early I think later afternoon wouldn’t be any worse than mid-morning.

Almost 10 years ago, in December, I spent most of the day at the Uffizi, arriving when it opened. I have no memory of the wait time outside, so it probably wasn't bad. But that was long ago.

This November I plan to go there again, maybe twice. As a big fan of getting to places right when they open, and also of strategizing, here are my thoughts for you.

My impression in 2014 was that about an hour after the Uffizi opened it filled up dramatically. However, it was crowded in the same way that Venice is crowded: most people were swarming around the famous things, taking selfies, guys taking photos of their posing girlfriends, people taking photos and videos of things that they could actually find better versions of online, tour groups, etc. I took photos of people taking photos. Most of the art I came to see (medieval and early Renaissance) remained easy to see all day long. So, it could be a good plan to find out where are the popular things you want to see, see those first thing in the morning, and then return to the first room and go through the rest of the rooms ignoring the crowds around the famous art. The Uffizi's cafe is not at all bad for a quick lunch and has a nice view.

Google's "Popular Times" on the Uffizi has the first two hours of the day being about as crowded as the final two hours, with Tuesday (the day after it's closed) and weekend days being the most crowded. I'll plan to go on Wednesday or Thursday.

I hope you will return and tell us what your experience was. Good luck with your tickets!

Agree with others, very short line if you have advanced timed entry tickets! 15 min or less in my experience. Enjoy.

Thank you all for the information provided. Very helpful.
Nancys8, thank you for the "popular times"- I hadn't even thought of checking that. Also appreciate the "strategy" approach and the cafe info. We are going on a Thursday -unfortunately in the afternoon- and will have a strategy in place that might also include a stop to the cafe. Thanks again everyone!
