any good place to eat dinner in FCO airport?

We depart at FCO at 8pm which means we need to reach the airport by 5 pm. So this means we won't get to eat dinner at any of the restaurants in the heart of teh city before catching the train or bus to the airport. Are there any good vegetarian places to eat inside the airport? Or should we try to get a take-out from a restaurant in the city and take it to eat at the airport?

FCO is a nice modern airport. I think we were in Terminal 2 the last few times and there were restaurants up above the concourse, many selections, good enough food. Don’t do take out in the city.

Do like many Italians, have your main or heavier meal at 1-2 before you head to the airport, then find something light before the flight..

Aren't you going to get fed on the flight? I don't get why you're so worried, unless you're keeping to American dinner hours, which is kind of hard to do in Italy. In any event, there are lots of restaurants in FCO, from sushi bars to full service restos.

so actually we were on Ryan Air. No meal on the flight. Plus it was delayed by 90minutes. Fortunately we did get a good meal in the airport. Had we known the flight would be delayed we could have eaten in Rome. But then we would have missed all the impromptu performances in the airpot where they have set up a piano and everyone from kids playing mary had a little lamb to operatic singers took turns performing.
