Any experience with this site: ONLINE TICKET BOOKING FOR ITALIAN GALLERIES AND MUSEUMS

ONLINE TICKET BOOKING FOR ITALIAN GALLERIES AND MUSEUMS - RESERVE TICKETS FOR THE UFFIZI GALLERY, PLUS OTHER ATTRACTIONS IN ITALY
[http://www.tickitaly.com/][1]

It seems this is one of those 'if it is too good to be true, it probably is not' situations. Anyone have experience using this site and its services for tickets to sights in Italy?

Please do not use all caps in a post. That said, I buy tickets directly from the museum or gallery website, never from a second party.

Hi Joseph,

I agree with Jim, I prefer to book directly from the museum or gallery websites.

What cities do you plan to visit in Italy?

Here are just a few websites you may need:

Florence: http://www.b-ticket.com/b-ticket/uffizi/default.aspx

Rome:

Happy planning!

Edit: By the way, if you write in all capitals, it's like yelling on this forum ;-)

I use brokers like the one you mention, preferably Select Italy, when I have a lot of reservations to book or the official sites show no availability, it's always worked out well. You pay more, though.

My family is going to Rome next week. We ordered tickets for colosseum and forum last night on the official website. It says good for 2 days but it does not allow you to specify any dates. Does it mean we have to wait in line even though we have the tickets in hand? Thanks.

It's a broker and adds a mark up You don't mention which sites you wish to visit but you should try to use official sites when booking tickets or tour. There are several official ticket vendors for Rome and more for other cities. If you can be specific we can link you to them.

I used Tickiltaly when I could not get what I wanted directly from the site. The Last Supper comes to mind, as it is virtually impossible to get tickets direct. The booking services snatch them all up!

Ah yes, political correctness. The all caps was a cut/paste from the website of the company; not yelling, however. Is cut/paste a 'no-no'?

I did notice that the sites I checked for tickets, just to find a price, (Last Supper, Herculaneum and Pompeii, Colosseum) each showed no tickets available for any date I tried beyond March, 2016. This site was one listed on the Milan Museum web site. Since I will need tickets for several sites in several cities, I was hopeful this might be reliable and make the task a bit easier.

We will be visiting Milan, Florence (day trips to Bologna), Naples (Herculaneum and Pompeii), Rome and then board ship from the port of Civitavecchia.

Thanks, Zoe and Priscilla and Laurel. I will check your recommendations.

I used Tickitaly as well, on occasion. It's legit, if that is what you want to know.

No, shouting is the bit where you lose people. In forums like this it is difficult to see people's expressions so conventions have grown up. One of those is that all caps is perceived as shouting.

If you want to cut and paste, that's up to you, although the convention is to indicate by quote marks or indentation that that is what you have done so it is not perceived as your work.

By the way, your profile location of Tucson Arizona U.S.A. is all in caps, too.
