Any experience with apartments-florence-italy.com?

I'm finding several apartments that look good at http://www.apartments-florence-italy.com . . . does anyone have any experience booking apartments through this site?

No but Paula Frommer's has some recommendations in her Italy book. We used http://rentalsflorence.com/index.htm based on her book and were highly pleased. The fist apartment shown on this site is where we stayed. Great location!

Prices are not absolute if you go off season. In October we had 8 days and payed about 10% less than 7 day rate listed. You can guarantee with CC but can't pay that way. So be prepared to have a lot of euros on arrival or wire the money. We did the latter and were concerned about whether owner Gabriella would be honest with us on exchange rate but without asking, she showed us the exact amount she got in euros from her bank's statement. There was €200 deposit for breakage but upon arrival she refunded it immediately probably because we were of an age that she figured if anything broke it would NOT be because of wild partying.

Jeff

We have used VRBO.com for apts in many countries; Rome, Portugal, US, etc. We have been quite pleased with their options.

We have also used homelidays.com., and have been very happy with the results

What ever you do, make sure that the rental agency you use comes with good recommendations, and that the apt also has the same.

Thanks for the replies! I was looking at apartments-florence-italy.com because they seemed to provide the most thorough details about the properties, like whether or not an elevator is available for a given apartment. (I have medical circumstances that preclude me from doing several flights of stairs.) I can't find any references on this website, though.

vrbo.com looks pretty good, although the information provided isn't consistent from apartment to apartment. rentalsflorence.com/ sounds good but it appears to do only weekly rentals. homelidays.com looks like it may be a good alternative!
