Antibes to Monterosso

Going from Antibes to Monterosso and looked at the train schedules. Three different connections and only about 20 minutes inbetween trains. Anybody know of a bus company that would take that route? Any other ideas would be helpful. Thanks, Lucky

Chances are pretty good that 20 minutes between trains would be enough. And there should be another train by in an hour or so, I would think, even if you miss one. I'm familiar with only one part of the route by bus: there is a pullman from San Remo to Genoa (I only know because we needed it and missed it one day!).

You're probably right - in small towns 20 minutes may be plenty. Just don't want to have to run up and down platforms as we have done in the past trying to catch the next train. Thanks

Would those train connections be Nice, Ventimiglia and Genoa? In Nice there are railway employees who help passengers board the correct trains; in Ventimiglia the system is fairly simple and not hard to navigate; in Genoa it is important to get off at the correct station as there are several stations. If you have a minimum amount of luggage this will not seem too difficult. Check overhead monitors for train info when in train stations. The monitors are at the tracks. If you miss a train, there is usually another to the same destination within an hour.

There are also trains at 05:17, 06:17 and 10:17 with only one change and about 15 minutes or so between trains. If the train sites show connections with only a few minutes (some only 7 minutes!) then that usually means there's adequate time to get to the connecting train, although it might be a rush! Many times the connecting track is just a few feet away, other times you'll have to rush down long steep stairs, through a tunnel and up more stairs but the given connection times are still adequate.
I usually try to take trains with the fewest connections just because of the hassles (anxiety) of making connections but it also depends on departure and arrival times.
PS: I've never missed a train yet!

Thanks Darcy and Swan - I am going to look for the ones that have the fewest connections. We almost broke our necks last time we were there trying to catch the last train somewhere 'cause time was so short.
