Good morning!
We’ve been on a guided tour of the Vatican before with Take Walks and this time wanted a slower self guided pace. When I look at the Vatican ticket website for my date in September, it says Not Bookable.
There are tours available through the Vatican ticket website but not individual tickets. Am I booking too early, is it already sold out, or are only tour groups currently allowed?

You are looking for individual tickets (not a tour) for the Vatican Museums on the Vatican's website?? Yes, I believe tickets still become available about 60 days in advance - I'm seeing them available this morning on the website for the 28th of August but not beyond that date - so I'd check back about 2 months before your desired date.
