I have been checking the ticket site every day for early September ticket availability. Yesterday the site only sold through August. Today September is added, but every day is sold out in every time slot and language through the end of September. Is this probably the reality of ticket sales or a glitch on the site? I also wonder if it would still be possible to book through a tour company?

They are not sold out. They haven't released those dates yet. They are just getting the website ready for the sale of the tours so keep checking. There is no need to book through a third party vendor and spend more for the same tour. No one has been able to book these tickets as they are not available for purchase yet. Donna

Thanks, Donna. We did this tour in November 2010 when such tours just started. I thought that the archeologist who guided us was excellent, so I am very happy that I can still attempt to take friends on the tour without paying a third party!

It's a great tour. Just wait a little more for the dates to open. If it's like it was last year they will open them up a week or so at a time. Just keep checking. donna
