Itininery so far:
Fly into Venice, spend four days. Buy train tickets at Kile and Teo Viaggie Turismo as recommended by Steve.
Train from Venice to Varenna. Spend four days around Lake Como.
Train to Cinque Terre, spend three nights;
Train to Florence (Should I buy tickets in Venice for this section of travel?)
Hire car in Chiusu. Spend seven nights at apartment in Montepulciano. Leave car. Travel to Sorrento.
Should I prebook this or wait until we get there and book on same day?
Three nights in Sorrento. Not long enough I know but would like to go to Pompei for a day and also Ravello. Not fussed about Capri - maybe next time.
From Sorrento to Rome for four nights. Fly out.
Stop over in Dubai for three nights (haven't even looked at this - focused on Italy). Any comments about whether this is doable. Thank you.
