Anniversary Gift ideas in Rome.

Hi Jeffe: Certainly, any piece of jewelry will be appreciated and cherished! We recently returned from a three week trip to Italy, and instead of spending a lot of money on souvenirs there, I chose a special picture from each area we visited and had them put onto canvas wall art. Lovely!

I know you mentioned jewelry, but the art idea is actually perfect.

We buy small paintings from street vendors selling their small paintings of an area we are visiting, and these hang on our walls at home. They are priceless memories of locations which we truly loved while traveling.

Just passing them right now as I headed to the computer makes me smile at the memories they evoke !

You could have quite a collection of "art" by the time you have been married as long as us !!

How about a replica of the Bocca della Verita? Get one big enough to put the jewelry behind it so she finds it right away. Hey, if you use that every anniversary it will bring back some wonderful memories of your trip to Rome!

True Murano glass jewelry is nice (I have a collection myself). Just be sure you can verify it is truly made by an artisan from Murano. There's a reliable store on Corso del Rinascimento, north of Vittorio Emanuele II. Not cheap.

Just an aside, Carla: When we got home I selected great scenery pics from my photographs and had them put onto canvas wall art. It was relatively inexpensive since I was able to use groupon and sale prices.

We have started doing that too !

We shot a wonderful sign in Positano which looks like painted tiles. We had it put on canvas from Costco and it looks amazing !
