Anniversary Dinner in Varenna

My wife and I will be celebrating our anniversary in July on the day we arrive in Varenna. Any suggestions for a memorable place for dinner that night? Willing to splurge a bit, but I'd say 100E or less would be a good price point. We are staying at Hotel Olivedo for our 3 nights. Of course we can always visit some of the other recommendations on the other nights we're there! :-)

Thanks!

Hi Jed
We were just in Varenna last week at the Villa Torretta (part of the Olivedo). There is a great restaurant to the right of the hotel (if your back is to the water) can't remember the name. Also,we ate at Vecchia Varenna which was only a few yards down the path, very nice, but pricy! Have fun!

Jed,

For an anniversary dinner, there are a couple of places you could consider.....

Of course, if this is a really special anniversary and price is no object, you could also take the short ferry ride across to Bellagio for a fine hot meal at.....

Happy anniversary!

I second the recommendation for Ristorante LaVista. My husband and I celebrated our engagement there. It was memorable and delicious. (We did reserve in advance of our trip. And asked for a table with a view.)

Email sent to La Vista, hoping we can fit in! Thanks also for the tip to get a view table! Will check out the others for dinners the other nights!

Unless you go crazy, the price of food in restaurants is much less in Italy than America. Don't know what part of the country you are from, but in California when we go out with another couple, each couple pays as much as the total we just had in Italy with another couple. And these were all nice restaurants. I see now you are from Seattle, you will be pleasantly surprised at the price of food in Italy. And hopefully the exchange rate will stay low. The service is usually added and no tax.
