Anghiari, Sansepolcro day trip from S

So we are 6 weeks from our return visit to Italy. And so happy we can go back. For one day trip we would like to see Sansepolcro and Anghiari which are just under 2 hours(65miles Via Michelin) from Siena, where we are staying. Renting a car there as well.

  • looking for lunch recommendation for these two towns? -Is it possible to see(tour) the old woolen mill in Anghiari? -how should we alot our time for these two towns, they are 5 miles apart? -things truly not to be missed? -words of advice re parking lots up hill

Thanks to everyone, we can't believe we are making a second trip and hope for another.

Well, in Sansepolcro, what is not to be missed is the Museo Civico's collection of masterpieces by Piero della. Francesca. We were able to park, for a small fee, just outside a gate in the wall of the historic center. Half a day should be ample, even if you have lunch there.

Second Rosslyn's suggestions. If you like Piero's Art, you might try to stop by Arezzo for more.
