Andrea Bocelli

Has anyone gone to his concert in the past? If so, I would like recommendations on where to stay, etc.

We'll need more info, Katina. When and where is the concert?

Sorry! I figured if anyone has gone, they would already know, ha! He has one concert a year...every July...at his outdoor "arena" in Tuscany....Lajatico, to be exact!

Met two American flight attendants on a Greek ferry and they had gone to his property for the concert for two years and were going again. They said the event was amazing and the place beautiful. Sorry, no idea where
they stayed.

Maybe type up a new post with the subject being "Lodging recommendations for Lajatico". You can also check their town website to see if anything is listed: www.lajatico.it Also check the following website for agriturismos. I have not stayed at any of these properties. http://www.agriturismo.it/en/farmhouse/tuscany/pisa/lajatico Hope this info helps. Now, you're making me want to go! I saw Andrea in concert at the Milan Duomo and it was incredible. Have a great time.

Katina,
Have been to the concert multiple years, and going this summer. Do you have your ticket for the concert yet, as I know that it is and has been sold out for months. As for a place to stay, that could be hard as the towns around there are quite small as mentioned. In the past I have stayed in Volterra, and that required a private driver to take me to the concert. You can check that town for lodging, and possibly the hotel can recommend someone to take you to the concert. This year we are staying in Lajatico in an apartment for a week, so we will be able to walk to the concert. It is very magical, and something that you will never forget. Hope you have luck with lodgings, just google Volterra Hotels, and good luck! If I can help any further let me know.

Also, this is the link to a lady that lives there, and has helped me in the past with lodgings etc. You can tell her that I recommended her to you if you contact her. She has her own tour company but is very helpful. You may have to copy and paste, but it could prove helpful to you. http://www.toscanasempre.com/scheda_en.asp?id=74&vis=2

I have already tried a different posting about lodging in Lajatico and got no hits...that is why I titled it "Andrea Bocelli" this time! I have tried many hotels, etc, in Volterra and surrounding areas, but they are booked. I thought it would be good to get suggestions by people who might have done this in the past... @ Naomi - thank you! I have emailed Stefania! And yes, I have had the tickets for months!
