To stay within our budget, we only want to pay for one tour. We can do the other with Rick Steves' guide. We see that Federica's tours are probably the best. Should we spend the money to do the Vatican tour or the Ancient Rome tour? Which would be easier to do ourselves? We are a young married couple going on our honeymoon. Thanks!
Due to the crowds at the Vatican, I would suggest you spend the money for a tour there. The Roman Forum is much more open and less crowded, making it much more laid back. A tourguide at the Vatican could be invaluable to get through the crowds and see the best things.
Who do you recommend booking with for an advance tour (Vatican) reservation? How much time should I allow?
