Traveling in May to Sicily. Have family ancestors information but looking for tour guide to take us to Termini Immerse and take us to City Building. Have contacted one guide (Rosy) but no response in last month to emails and no answer on her phone. Suggestions on guide is requested.

I realize that you may need someone to translate for you at the city hall, but you can easily get to Termini Imerese from Palermo by yourself. There are frequent trains--from one to three per hour--taking 24 to 43 minutes. Once in Termini Imerese, you are just 1/3 mile from the Municipio, which I'm guessing is where you'll be heading.

Do you speak or read any Italian or have someone in the US who can help you send a simple letter or email with copies of one or two documents you have in your possession? This can be a good starting point to see if there is someone there who can work with you or has a suggestion for a guide or interpreter.
I did something like this about 8 years ago in Germany with great success. A poster on the French forum did something like this last year with great and unexpected results.
