Hello,
How long is the anatomical theater tour at the University of Bologna that is conducted by the university (not by 3rd party tour companies like Viator)?
Thank you.
We recently visited the anatomical theater at the University. I don’t know about the tours, we just walked up and bought our ticket. Its a very small room.
Ok. Thank you. We are going on a Saturday and their website stated that people have to go on a tour to see the anatomical theater on Saturdays. We only have about 7 hours in Bologna so I’m trying to fit as much as we can in that time frame.
I just walked in in 2022.
It’s a very small room.
There was a tour being held in there while I was in there and you can’t help but hear what is being said!
Tours don’t seem to get exclusive access…..just do a bit of listening-in….it’s impossible not to and they can’t ask you to cover your ears!
This is the website where you can purchase the entrance ticket: https://www.archiginnasio.it/lang/en/palazzo-dell-archiginnasio
In fact is mandatory "Reserve" the ticket in advance on Saturday, not being part of a tour. That is because on Saturday the ticket office is closed and there is only the person who controls the tickets.
Anyway, Archiginnasio building and the Anatomical Theatre (that in fact is small, because was built for a bunch of students, not thousand of people) are places who greatly deserve a guided tour because there are so many histories behind. A tour usually lasts 1 hour or 1 hour and half.
Thank you Ricky. I’m surprised that the tour lasts an hour or more as the last tour is at 5:30 pm and the website says that the anatomical theater closes at 6 pm but I appreciate the information.
