We're thinking of going to Venice and Padua next spring.
ALSO, we have friends near Visp, Switzerland, that we'd like to see.
If we do such a thing, we'd do open-jaw flights

** We could drive
a better option for us:
** our friends may join us in Padua / Venice
Has anyone traveled in these areas and have a route suggestion (beyond the Google options I've seen?)

This site will show you the trains between Padova/Venizia S. Lucia (you must use Italian city station names) and Visp. Since next spring is too for away to have schedules available, just use late September as a date to see what the options are. Right now, there is a direct train at 4:18 pm taking 5 1/4 hours, otherwise train to Milano Centrale, then EC train to Visp.
