Hi, my wife and I are travelling to Italy in June and are spending 5 nights in Marghera, near Venice and would like to spend an evening or two on Venice Island. Could anyone advise me of travel timetable for transport back to the mainland ?.

For late night service after midnight. Here is the timetable for the N1 bus from Piazzale Roma. Circulates to Mestre station. It is coordinated with the N vaporetto in Venice.

Trains to Mestre from Santa Lucia run until midnight.
You'll need a cab from Mestre station.
