Amex Travel store Venice

Where is the Amex travel store located in Venice? Anyone used them for getting train tickets, exchanging $$? What are their hours (is there a website for them)? Do you have to have an Amex card to use their services? Thanks for any help

Go to Google maps and type in Calle dei Fabbri, 4674, Venice, Italy and it will come up. The closest vaporetto stop seems to be Rialto. You will have to walk in to the location.

I tried that and got just the general calle dei fabbri street. It shows hotels along there but not Amex[INVALID]-can anyone say what hotel it is close to, then I can find it. I'd be coming from St. Marks B. Thank you for your continued help

You mentioned exchanging $$ there. Have you researched that? Exchanging $$ for euros is rarely the best way to do it.

Yes, ATM. You can find more than you ever wanted to know about the subject by going to "To the Boot" and looking at the first few 'subjects' listed - click on "Get Answers to Your Questions" and follow the directions. Also, the same search feature is listed as "Search the Helpline Archives" if you go to "Travelers Helpline".........In fact, there's a current thread going now under "General Europe" called 'Canadians with Currency Advice??' that will be helpful to you.

Fredrica, according to the map the ADDRESS of the AMEX office is just off St Mark's Square - with your back to the Basilica and closer to the other end of the square, Calle dei Fabbri is on your right. It looks like it's very near Albergo Goriza (a little ways down) I went to this AMEX office in '98............BUT, unless it's risen from the ashes, the Venice AMEX office closed 1 1/2 years ago...to much fanfare and gnashing of teeth. The AMEX website shows this one as open, but the links for office hours, etc., don't work...but they DO work for locations that I know are open...Hmmmmmm...The fact that AMEX doesn't show up on Google Maps - only the address - isn't a good sign, either. ATMs and the Internet, plus a few other things, have conspired to kill the AMEX Travel Offices...
