I have checked in for the AA portion of my flight to Heathrow. I am unable to check into the BA portion online with BA (says to go to airport). I don't see that BA has counter at Charlotte (not sure but not listed on the website). BA phones are not "awake" yet. It is 24 hours to my flight in London to Rome. I will call in a few hours but will I be able to have a boarding pass? What will I do in London with no boarding pass? Thanks. Yes I am the nervous type so please bear with me.

AA at Charlotte may issue a London-Rome Boarding Pass, they will certainly check your luggage thru to Rome. If not, they will advise you to head to the BA transfer desk on arrival at Heathrow and they will sort it for you.
Simple. No need to worry. I wouldn't even call.

One of the problems could be that AA and BA use different flight locater numbers. This has happened to me many times. I reserve through AA and get their locator. But I have to call BA to get their locater number. Once I have that, I can check in, choose seats, etc.
