Does anyone have experience with the Unico Travel Pass? I will be traveling with my husband in Italy this May, landing in Naples. We will be staying in Sorrento 4 nights, Taormina Sicily 3 nights, Palermo 2, and Rome 2. We won't be renting a car and have flights booked to and from Sicily already. We would like to see Pompeii, the Amalfi coast and Capri. Would the Unico Campania 3T be a good fit? Does that include the ferries to Amalfi and/or Capri and the train or bus to Pompeii. From what I've read it seemed to be unlimited from the time you get it stamped on day 1 for 3 days but I'm confused on which bus/train/ferries it includes.
If you go to the UNICOCAMPANIA website, you'll see the full list of services included in the UNICO 3T Tourist ticket. In brief, the following are covered: (i) all city buses in Naples, Sorrento and Salerno; (ii) subway and funiculars in Naples; (iii) buses to Mt. Vesuvius; (iv) SITA buses along the Amalfi Coast; (v) CSTP buses between Salerno and Paestum; (vi) buses to Caserta; (vii) Trenitalia REGIONALE trains within Campania Region (NOT NOT the faster trains); (viii) SITA buses within Campania Region; (ix) buses on Ischia and Procida; (x) buses and commuter trains to Phlegren Fields; (xi) all Circumvesuviana trains; (xii) Alibus between Naples and Naples Airport. EXCLUDED are (i) buses and funicular on Capri; and (ii) ferries, hydrofoils and boats. www.unicocampania.it. If you plan to visit museums or archeological sites, consider buying the CAMPANIA ARTECARD tutta la regione for THREE (3) days (27 Euros). It includes ALL the benefits of the UNICO CAMPANIA 3T tourist ticket, PLUS free entrance to two sites, PLUS a 50% discount on all additional sites. It pays for itself after the first entrance. At 27 Euros, it costs only 7 Euros more than the transportation ticket alone. You can buy it at Napoli Centrale train station as soon as you arrive by train, in Sorrento, at any site or museum on the circuit, or indeed at many locations in the Campania Region. www.artecard.it
Thank you for the information. Do you know if Pompeii is included in the list of archeological sites?
Absolutely yes. For the complete list: www.artecard.it Normal entrance fee at Pompei is 11 Euros, so the ARTECARD pays for itself!!!
Thank you for your help, we will definitely be getting the Artecard when we arrive in Naples!
