Intending to drive down from Lucca and returning car,
touring Amalfi coast without a car. Staying in Amalfi town for 10 days. Anyone experience bus/trains from Amalfi ?

There is no rail service to Amalfi town, but it is a hub for the bus system that serves the whole area. You can also take ferries from Amalfi town to the major local destinations. You'll have no trouble touring the area by bus or ferry.
