Planning on Italian honeymoon the last 2 weeks of October. Wanted to spend a few days in Amalfi but have read that a lot of places, including restaurants, close down at that time. I know there will be plenty of things to do besides the beach but will shops and restaurants still be open for us to go to?
Better to go the first two weeks. Ferries will run all month.
We were there several years ago---Oct 23rd-27th. We stayed in Positano and visited many little towns including Amalfi and Ravella.
A few restaurants were closed but the majority were open and all the shops were open. We still had plenty of choices for restaurants. Our first day was a little cloudy and windy but the rest was sunny and gorgeous. Enjoy and congratulations!
Thank you! We’re very excited!
