is there bus service from sorento to Amalfi cost today? the buses were not operating these past days. thank for your in-put in advance.

I believe the road between Sorrento and Positano had to be closed for a few days because of rock falls from the recent heavy rains.

In Sorrento at the moment. The road between Piano di Sorrento and Positano is closed because of landslips caused by the heavy rain on Wednesday. The latest is that it may be closed for a bit while they check the area for general stability. There are buses going to Amalfi but they are taking the inland route to Vietri sul Mare and then on to Amalfi. Don't know the journey time but will be lengthy. Also found out yesterday that, despite being timetabled, the ferry between Sorrento and Amalfi has closed down for the season. However, we are hoping that because of the road closure they might be tempted to run one or two. Fingers crossed!
