Hi!
Why are some great experiences/entertainment/ day trip options from the Amalfi coast for preschool-aged kids? We are traveling through this area for the first time mid-April.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!
Wow- this could be a challenge, I'll be interested in what others have to say. We were there spring, 2023.
Day tripping from the AC is difficult because of the congestion and poor transportation options. Getting anywhere takes time and patience. Many areas are very steep, and bumpy, so strollers may be a challenge . Are you using public transportation or private drivers? You'll also be in the EASTER holiday crowds. If you have bad weather, there's not a lot to do for any age. Sorry to be negative, but the area has its challenges, along with its beauty,
. Safe travels!
How old are they? I took my 4 1/2 year old to Paris and she walked 5km a day minimum.
Yes, Paris is not AC but there are children who live there so there are playgrounds, piazzas and boardwalks to explore. The beach is perfect. We are current’s in Amalfi and the waves are minuscule. We are enjoying sunny weather.
Depending on your comfort and your experience hauling kids, I’d even suggest the Sentieri degli Dei. Where I’m from, people take their kids on all manner of hikes. Just did it today and if you start in Bomerano and bus down from Nocelle, it’s easily doable with kids. Their knees will not scream at them as mine are.
