Amalfi Coast with Mobility Issues. Car VS Ferry Itinerary?

Hi everyone, I will be travelling with my parents (3 pax in total) end June. My dad has mobility issues so he won't be able to walk too far or take too many steps. I have been reading up and think Minori would be the best base for our stay because it would be an easy (and cheaper) transfer via public ferry from Salerno.

I was thinking of spending two full days in the area, exploring 1 via public transport (ferry) and the other with a 8-hour private tour. On the day I have the driver, are there any areas you suggest we visit that we can't reach via ferry? Or would we be covering the same places?

TIA!

How long is the whole vacation? Itinerary? How did you select the AC? Just getting somewhere on the AC to settle for two days is a project.

My mother needed a rollator or a wheelchair for five years. I wonder if you can rent (or buy and discard) a wheelchair? For example, many bits of Italy are pedestrianized, like the most desirable parts of Ravello. Even Sorrento closes several streets nightly for the Passeggiata. I would not visit Positano with limited mobility.

I have not been to Minori. You may need to research whether the ferries have any steps on them.
