Amalfi Coast - What to book in advance?

Hi all! My husband and I will be traveling to the Amalfi Coast at the end of September for 5-6 days. I have booked our hotels in Amalfi and Positano, but am wondering what other things we should plan to book in advance? I know we will want to go to Capri for a day, and take a boat trip along the coast. Any suggestions welcome! Thanks.

I didn’t book anything for my stay on the Amalfi Coast other than hotels and had no problems getting into anything or getting transportation. If there is a restaurant you definitely don’t want to miss you might make a reservation when it gets closer but I didn’t find it hard to get into those either.

I have been many times and have only booked my hotel. I really can’t imagine what else you would need to book.

Do I need to book in advance to visit Pompeii? Does anyone have any recommendations regarding guided tours of Pompeii - group tours or private tours? And what are the approximate costs. Thanks!

Thanks all for letting me know. I was wondering about boat trips specifically. With the crush of tourists this year, I assumed there would be experiences worthwhile to book in advance and was trying to figure out which things not to miss.

Sulliam553 also reminded me that I was wondering if it is necessary to book a visit to Pompeii in advance as well?
