Amalfi coast trip on a teachers schedule

So my options are mid-February, mid-April or July/early August. I would like to avoid crowds so I’m thinking April but concern about rain. Any advise? Thanks!

July/August will be Hot and Crowded.

I would choose April and have a windbreaker/raincoat in my bag

Just back from 4 nights in Sorrento and 3 in Amalfi....also on a teachers schedule. Such a beautiful area, but absolutely packed with people. Think Las Vegas on a long weekend packed. And hot and muggy. Even if it rains in April, I'd probably prefer it then to this summer. We are glad we went, but don't feel the need to return....at least not in the summer.

We were on the AC in April of 2024. Stayed in Minori because it was quiet and authentic. Took the ferry daily to all the big (aka packed) spots. The weather was lovely. The seas were fine for ferrying and also taking a boat tour of the area. As an fyi, the boat tour was a highlight. The coast is amazing from the sea. Also, Ravello cannot be skipped. It’s stunning. Enjoy!

April will have better weather than Feb., but more people. Feb. will have fewer people, but the weather will not be as good. Depends on which is more important -- fewer people or better weather.

Jenn,
I would choose April and damn the torpedoes about the occasional bit of inclement weather. No-one deserves to tolerate the dual problems of heat (and boy do we ever mean HEAT) and crowds in such a lovely area.
Btw, I happen to know the creators of the below TR about that area. They've given me permission to post it anew here. It is basically a looooong photo essay but it also combines music, humor plus logistical tips.

Maybe it'll prove useful in some modest way? *You may need to scroll waaaay back to the start at the top.
