Amalfi Coast trip

Hello!
My husband and I live in Southern Spain and are planning a trip to the Amalfi Coast at the end of May. We would likely fly out of Sevilla into Naples. Since I have been planning, a couple of questions have come up:

  1. What is the best way to get from the Naples airport to the Amalif Coast, keeping in my we do not want to spend a lot of money.
  2. Do you think 6 days be enough time to see Pompeii, Capri and relax on the coast?
  3. Best town to relax and enjoy some good food, while being close enough to access other sites?

We take the Circumvesuviana to Sorrento and found that to be a good base as you can go to Pompeii and Capri easily from there, then see the A.C. by bus or ferry. We spent a week there once and saw Ercolano, spent a whole day in Sorrento just chilling, and a day in Naples (see R.S. Naples Self Tour).

From Sorrento the connections are excellent via bus, Circumvesuviana and ferry. We will be there again May 20-23!

You can take the bus from the airport to Napoli Centrale, buy your Circumvesuviana ticket from the Circumvesuviana ticket booth (follow signs), go downstairs to the platform and take the train to the last stop (Sorrento). From Sorrento you can visit Pompeii, Ercolano and Capri.

I would spend a couple of nights on the Amalfi Coast. You can take the bus from the Sorrento station to any of the towns along the Coast. You may prefer one of the smaller towns to Positano. If you can, spend some time in Ravello, just above Amalfi (local bus goes there frequently).

Ah, Zoe, yes...Ravello! How coudl I forget? With 6 nights spitting your time might be a good option. Start south (Positano? Ravello?) then move to Sorrento for the last few nights so you are closer to the airport. I beleive you can get a bus from Sorrento right to the airport, too.

Since you're arriving at the airport, the easiest way is to take the http://www.curreriviaggi.it/eng/shuttle.php

directly to Sorrento. Cost is 10 euro and takes 1H15m. Sorrento is not technically on the AC, but gives

you the best transportation options.

Another option if you want to stay on the AC is this shuttle. http://www.amalfishuttle.com/about-us/

Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Cetera, and Vietri sul Mare

The 3rd option is the Alibus to Napoli Centrale, 3 euro-30 min., then the Circumvesuvian 1H29m 4,50E
