I will be in the Amalfi Coast on October 8th-10th; arriving in Salerno on the 8th. I am having problems booking ferry tickets to Amalfi/Positano/returning for those dates however. I have been on TravelMars website to look for tickets, but they show nothing after the end of September. Do the ferries run after September? Google searching showed that they should run until the end of October but it is not appearing that way on the website. any help is appreciated.

Well you certainly do not need to book these tickets online in advance, they won't sell out so can buy them onsite / day of.
In October you run the risk of them closing up early for the season but also that rough seas will cancel this line any given day. It does not take much to cancel the ferries on the small Positano dock.
The bus can be your backup plan.
