Looking for ideas of where to stay on the Amalfi Coast - flying into Naples and have 4 days and would like to do some hiking along the coastal area. Thinking of ferry to a coastal town and hiking from there? Ideas welcome. Thank you.
I would rather stay in Sorrento or Amalfi for hiking in the area. Otherwise you are burning a lot of daylight getting to where your want to hike.
I've looked into these hikes but I have never had time enough to actually do any of them.
These trails run from Vietri sul Mare - the first town on the peninsula - easily reached from Salerno but train or bus. One runs as far as Sorrento but that is clearly a multi-day hike.

Here are hikes more on "the Amalfi coast" including the full, famous Path of the Gods.

This is the grandaddy one I would love to do. It officially starts in Cava de' Tirreni the area above Vietri sul Mare away from the coast but you could start of VsM I'm sure and join them up.

Obviously you can do sections of whatever you have time for or easy access to.
I hope you get to try some of these out,

Are you planning to spend any time in Naples--I assume at least the last night?
All you need to know is 1) Which hikes you wish to do, as some will be better from different bases. There are two books that detail all of them and include transport/trailhead details--one published by Cicerone and the other by Sunflower. Or try Alltrails if you prefer online maps.
and 2) the transport logistics, which are train as far as Sorrento/Salerno and bus/ferry otherwise. Travelmar is the Amalfi coast ferry company. Note that from Amalfi town, you can just walk right onto a couple trails.
