Since Rick doesn't seem to cover any towns along here other then Positano, Amalfi and Ravello, do you know if there are any other towns that might be worth staying the night in? It would be just for the night and we are just doing the bus so nothing to far off the path. Thanks. We'll be four and be there first week of Oct

Maiori has a long stretch of beach and a nice long promenade. It's a bigger town. Minori is a smaller, probably less touristy town.

Atrani, just before Amalfi, is another small coastal town. Have not stayed there, only visited for a short time but liked the atmosphere. http://www.amalficoast.com/paesi/atrani-3.aspx

We were in this area 3 weeks ago and visited Amalfi and Positano. Both of these places are beautiful and the most famous. When we return to Italy next year we are thinking about staying in Minori because it is very nice, still the Costiera Amalfitano, and cheaper. The public transportation is excellent and moving around to the other towns will be easy. Minori has a beach town look, feel, and vibe going on. Its location is on the eastern part of the area near Salerno.
