Do you recommend taking a tour of driving or a tour of crusing along the Amalfi coast? Thank you.
I have taken the SITA bus twice and it is a great tour. The seat you want is the right side window.
Here are last year's prices on the Metro del Mare and the Coop San'Andrea services.

Expect them to start up again about end of April start of May but past performance is no guarantee etc etc!
If you are based in Sorrento and do decide to take an organised tour, this Sorrento based company has some options including boat and bus.

Because the public buses get jam packed in season, a lot of people prefer to take the Amalfi Coast bus tour, although more expensive, so that they are a. sure to get on a bus and b. get a seat on that bus. It just depends on when you are going but from May onwards crowding can be an issue, especially the return route.
Jennifer - Steve has outlined the perfect way to see the area - No need for pricy tours - It is awesome just as he describes - I've done the exact same thing about 10 times and never tire of it.
Enjoy, Greg
is there a particular cost associated with how far you want to go? typically how many euros from Sorrento to Positano? Also is it difficult to find the ferry when dropped off in Positano? thanks!
A 24 hour bus ticket will cost 6 euro and you can use it to hop on and hop off all day.
Positano is very small, just go down the hill to the sea and you will find the ferry dock. Here is a Positano webcam which shows the boats arriving and departing ie when they are up and running. Obviously dark at the moment!
thank you so much linda! and the cost of the ferries? I'm sure that varies...
when i say the cost of the ferries, i meant up and down the coast, not to capri..thanks!
